My experiences in 36 countries allow me to sort reality from advertising. Through my years in travel, I've learned how to help my clients avoid vacation disappointments. Or maybe, you just want to kick back and relax. What better way is there to see and experience the wonders the world has to offer, to meet people from different cultures, to walk on paths first traveled thousands of years ago, or to see how civilizations built their cities and how they live today. Travel is my passion and that is why I love to share my knowledge and expertise with others. They did a good job of integrating new technology to enhance the cruise experience for guests. There are many other examples in addition to what we’ve covered here. Technology was one of the cornerstone of this effort. With the Edge, Celebrity made a very intentional effort to revolutionize the cruise experience. Plus the stage has all the bells and whistles – it can be raised and lowered, ropes and hooks from the ceiling allow aerial performers to show off their skills, a motorized water fountain rolls out for special effects, and a very powerful sound system are just some of the technological features which will dazzle guests. Behind the stage is a panoply of projection screens which provide backgrounds for performances and can move as needed. The stage itself juts out into the audience making performances more intimate. Nowhere has technology been taken to a higher level than in the theatre. You can go directly to your stateroom to drop off you bags and pick up your stateroom keys. Once that’s done, you can board the ship – no lines, no forms to fill out, no paper to take with you – just board the ship. There you are asked to take a seat, enjoy a cocktail and continental breakfast until a customer service agent comes by to take your picture. Suites guests are greeted as they enter the new terminal and taken to a special suites lounge. Each day or night that you visit, you’ll encounter a new fusion of music, libations, culinary delights, and experiences, which are unlike anything else at sea.By encouraging guests to pre-register online, the boarding process on the Edge is much simpler. It’s three levels of sensory experiences, which are all designed to awaken your spirit of wonder in unique and exciting ways. For example, Eden features panoramic ocean views and an atmosphere that evolves as the day goes on.Įden introduces the industry-changing concept of outward facing spaces designed to build a greater connection between you and the sea. The spaces on Celebrity Edge transform from day to night, so sometimes it’s hard to categorize them. Another attention-grabbing addition to the pool deck are striking, two-story martini hot tubs, that take unwinding at sea to new heights. And positioned magnificently above the Pool Bar is an ever-changing LED light art installation. Why I Wanted to Sail on Celebrity EdgeĮven the main Resort Deck is a work of art! At the center of this space is a 25-yard lap pool, which is the largest in Celebrity’s fleet. And if you pick the right ship and cruise line, your cruise vacation can be one of the most enjoyable and relaxing vacations of your life. I know that cruising is polarizing to most people, but for others, it’s an affordable and easy way to see the world. Then, you can travel there again by land if you love it, and so that you can explore it on a more in-depth level. One of the things I like best about cruising is that you get a little taste of a new place. Being able to walk onboard, unpack only once, and to wake up in a new place every day is a pretty nice way to travel. On these trips, I have cruised various regions of the world including, North America, the Caribbean, South America, Europe and Asia. In my 36 years, I have been on almost 75 cruises. Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, etc., to hop on a ship, and to instantly be on vacation. My family loved the ease and convenience of being able to drive a couple of hours to Miami, Ft. Growing up in Florida with older parents, cruising has basically been in my blood since I was a child.
